Queendom Come is a cross-world/high fantasy series about a young, black woman, Sariya, who is struggling to build the typical American dream life when she soon discovers that she is anything but typical. Her best friend and roommate, her grandmother and a cast of magical characters reveal themselves to be ancient, powerful beings exiled from their world thousands of years ago. They all play parts in guiding and manipulating Sariya as she tries to navigate these two worlds. When she discovers that she is the descendant of royalty and the last remaining key to return them all home, dark forces begin to converge to take her power and her throne.
